With Tamara Livingston and Miriam Goldberg

This is your chance to learn how to communicate the wisdom and beauty of Taharas Hamishpacha to Jewish women of limited Jewish religious background. This course gives you a chance to qualify as a paid Mikvah Mentor for My Gift of Mikvah, where we match you up with women who want to learn this special mitzvah and we pay you to do it!

For Course Graduates

After completing MGOM’s 10-week Teacher Training Course, many will be invited to join our Mikvah Mentor program.  An active Mikvah Mentor is one who attends our monthly continuing education zoom classes, and commits to teaching women, both in her community and those with whom we match with her, possibly live or over zoom.  A mikvah mentor will receive a stipend for up to five classes and is able to receive one of our signature gift packages for her student.

MGOM is pleased to gift your student with a beautiful mikvah preparation package upon her first immersion if you meet one of the following requirements:

  • A Mikvah Mentor who actively participates in our ongoing education classes.  A student that she has taught and is about to immerse in a mikvah for the first time, or the first time after many years of not going.  The recipient was not observing taharas hamishpacha before, and non-observant in general, or is on the fence about whether or not to bring mikvah into her life.  Post menopausal women qualify.  Women in a kosher geirus program qualify as well.
  • An active Partner Organization hostess can receive gift baskets.  An active partner organization is an organization that has hosted a MGOM event in the past year, and as a result of our joint programming, interest in learning more about mikvah was sparked, resulting in her immersion.
  • Anyone of our MGOM Ambassadors can receive a mikvah gift basket for their students whom they directly teach to use the mikvah.
